Bachelor of Science Degree

Agricultural Education

The agricultural education program prepares men and women to teach agricultural science and business, as well as related subjects in junior high, high school, or college. Students also pursue careers in agricultural service industries. To earn teacher certification in Indiana, graduates must have either 4,000 clock hours of unsupervised agricultural work experience, or 1,500 clock hours of supervised work experience in agriculture. The agricultural education curriculum is coordinated by faculty of the Department of Youth Development and Agricultural Education.
