Bachelor of Science Degree

Turf Science

Students enrolled in this Department of Agronomy option study soil and plant science, with emphasis on the art and science of turfgrass management. Upon completion of the turf science program, a student is prepared to manage and provide technical information for golf courses, home lawns, athletic fields, commercial lawns, parks, recreation areas, and sod farms. The use of current recreational facilities and the need for new recreational facilities is very high, thus creating a demand for professional turfgrass managers with a college education in turfgrass science.
